Style Crush: Grimes

Good morning all ! this morning I was lying in bed and was thinking about what influenced me to dress the way I do and my main answer would have to be GRIMES  . If you have no clue who she is and would like to know who I am talking about watch these interviews (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0LVTbltWLI   or    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVqN1HNTWCA)  and you will intently fall in love with her awkwardness, her tendency to not care on what people say about her fashion self, music and art but most of all her style.

Grimes or Claire Boucher is everything in one; she directs all her music videos, comes up with album art, all the lyrical and musical content of the songs, outfits, produces all her music and the rest. Grimes' music is not easily defined and that is one of the things I like about her. She has a sense of alien sort of vibe which makes her really interesting, and I think that is one of the best complements you can give to someone - ' your really interesting (but that's another topic).' Her style is very versatile in the was she can go from a cute anime look to a quite boyish appearance. Another thing which I like about and has influenced me is her hair, constenly changing like I do. She goes from black to blonde, green to pink, short to long, shaved sides. It just reminds me that their are hair enthuses out their who enjoy reinventing themselves and like changing it up once in a while.
A girl with a great sense of style, music and way of thinking, all three things I adore about her and has helped me to evolve my strange style into what it is today. I think each month I will post about an artist or fashion icon, or person who I admire for wither their music or fashion. Let me know what you think, always up for a chat ! Post again soon lovelies,

Take care -

Ski trip / 2013

I'm back again ! My week in the snow was absolutely amazing, incredible and all the rest. Started out with the bus ride which we where on for 24 hours, but was good fun as I was with all of my friends. We stopped off at every couple of hours for breaks as we where driving from Brisbane to Perisher. We explored and had some yummy food.

But soon the whole bus ride was over and we reached the snow! It was a lot of my friends first time seeing the snow so driving up the mountain was very exciting when we spotted little snow patched on the side of the road. Once we got there we had to get all of our ski hire or snowboard gear then headed up to the "Sundeck Hotel - Australia's Highest hotel."
Once set up it was straight out to the snow ! Getting back into skiing was easier than I thought, we all went out, took a couple of falls and had a laugh. All the food was amazing, and staff there. I had the best time becoming better at skiing and also having such a wonderful time with my friends.
There was also fireworks and as all took the toboggans down the half pipe, had a snow ball fight and the rest and was just an all over magical time. On the way home we stopped by the war memorial  center in Canberra which was very well done. I loved reading all about the history of the wars and such.

Through out this whole trip I took some snaps with my Polaroid - which I am obsessed with.

Overall was such a great week and  will post again soon !
