Big Day Out 2014

Olla amigos, I trust that everyone is having a splendid day! Yesterday I went to Big Day Out at the Gold Coast, this being my first music festival! If you are unsure of what Big Day Out is it is a music festival that tours all around Australia with different musicians from all over the world. This year there was an awesome line up including, Big Gigantic, Loon Lake, Violent Soho, Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire and many more! I went with my friends Issy, Ashley and Samantha and arrived there at 10 am. We lined up for a little bit then it was time to go in!

The first people we saw was All The Colours which where really good and no one was there which was a great because we got the bar. Nearing the end of their proformace behind us started filling up as Violent Soho was about to start. They where so amazing and im so glad that we where right at the very front for them! After that we went and got something to eat while listening to Portugal the Man preform. After that i caught up with Oce and Steph and we went to The Naked and famous and also Big Gigantic for awhile until I had to leave to see Tame Impala. Samantha and I made it to the bar on the side and danced for while but left earlier before they finished so I could see the last few songs of the 1975. We then raced to save a place In Grouplove. We managed to make it about three, four rows to the front. After Grouplove's proformace we went and found a seat for Pearl Jam. By this time it was 4:30 and we sat in the stadium and watched the Hives and Beady Eye. Ashley and Issy joined us and we went and grabbed a bit to eat. After finishing our salads and making friends, Issy and I went into the mosh for Arcade fire. Then it was time for Pearl Jam. While there proformace was going on we left Sam to enjoy and we went and caught the last half of Flume and then Snoop Dog, aka Snoop Lion. After finding Sam again and watching the end of Pearl Jam we headed to the last forty five minutes of Major Lazer.  All up it was such an awesome day with good energy, even though my legs feel as though they have been snapped off; I would do it all again tomorrow ! Bring on Big Day Out 2015! I made another little 'follow me around video' of the day which you can watch by clicking HERE ---- !  its not the best quality because its just all been filmed on my IPhone and also im jumping around in a mosh pit for most of it! Post Again soon,

Take care,

Summer Desires

Hello all, hope everything is well! So I thought it would be cool if I shared with you guys what I've been loving this summer or my summer stable items.

Shorts: as you guys all may no or not know I seriously hate wearing denim shorts and I have no clue as why that is BUT for Christmas mum bought me an awesome, kinda three quarter length black short (which I wore to Paramore). They are similar to the one shown in the photo and I have been wearing them non stop!

Band Tees/ Muscle Tees: I am obsessed and always have been, I have too many to count and my collection is growing, even though my boyfriend has stolen half of mine (If your reading this Brodie - I love you x) You can always find funky patterns and designs on them and are simple to style. They are a staple my wardrobe must haves for guys and girls as they are so versatile and easy to layer. I love the UNIF designs and will be purchasing some shortly !

Braletts: They are so super dooper comfy and cute to show a little something on the side of your low cut top.

Fedora: I was walking around dish wearing this cute hat while my friend was trying clothes on and I got so many complements on it so I ended up buying it and it was the best $20 I have ever spent ! not to mention it keeps me protected from the sun!

Doctor Marten's: My trusty Doc school shoes I picked up in term four last year. They are super comfy (once warn in) and always jazz up my outfit. I now own three pairs of Doc's and its getting a bit out of hand as I nearly bought another pair online the other day, but they are such good quality and last a life time. My first pair in which I bought three years ago still look sparkling new!

Manic Panic: As I am a training hairdresser and have bleach blonde hair its an assesity to me to try and dye my hair as many times as I want and get away with it. I've been loving the manic panic colours and have tested the pink, purple and green in my hair, in pastel shades (If you want to know how I achieved this message me and let me know). I think its fun and ahh just love it!

Music: For Christmas I got a record player from my boyfriend and have been in love with the sound that it produces and have been needing to build on my collection, Paramore, Big Scary and Arctic Monkeys are next on my list I think!

Watch: As I have problems and am lazy I have this Casio watch, which is so simple and easy to tell the time (mine isnt this exactly mine has a leather strap).

Hope you enjoyed reading this post, I will be posting about my adventures from Big Day Out on Tuesday or Monday I think next. Should I make a follow me around video for that day?

Rings of Saturn

Kimono: Billabong // Top: Dotti // Dress: Verge // Shoes: Tony Bianco

Hello all ! Hope everything is good ! Today is my Nanna's sixty forth birthday and we where going out to dinner so I thought a quick outfit post was in need! I have always had an obsession with the Moon and the Sun ever since i got to go to the planetarium in Primary school and learnt all about them. I also had the little sicker's that you stuck on your ceiling that glowed in the dark. When I saw this dress I feel in love and my love for the moon/stars has grown, it's perfect. Even though it isn't winter yet I still dress for it. Crazy? Yes! I will post again soon.

Paramore

Top: Vintage // Shorts: A - Brand // Socks: Urban outfitters // Shoes: JC
Greetings earthlings ! Hope all is well ! Sorry the photos arnt to good!

On the 9Th January 2014 I went to the Self titled tour (to the people who don't know who or what that involves read the title) supported by You Me At Six and Twenty One Pilots, with three of my good friends - Ashley, Febe and Matt. Now if you are reading this and you have no idea who I am talking about (Performance wise) you better click this, this and this to find out who im talking about. We arrived at the venue at 5 and it started at 7:30. and it was packed, a big line. The doors for the whole place opened at 6:30 so once we got in there it was a race to the other doors to make another line to line up for another hour to get into the arena. When it was time to go in we ran, ran as fast as we could to get as close to the front as possible and we did get fairly close; about five rows from the stage. After waiting there and making friends with the para-fans around us it was time for Twenty One Pilots. I've known them from when I booked the tickets and have fallen in love with the way Tyler plays his music live and I'm so happy I got to see him preform. The music flows through him and he performs what he is singing, all the emotion pours out and leaves him performing amazingly. Not many people in the crowd new who they where there where a few girls around me and I knew exactly who he was and his voice is astonishing! He kept insuring us that we where going to have a good time and indeed we all did! such a cutie.

Next up was You Me At Six who I have been obsessed with ever since I was thirteen and god they where a sight to see. All came on looking amazing as ever and played like angels, not to mention Josh's voice was to die for! Any-ho they played most of their music and half way through their proformace Ashley and Febe left me alone in the mosh as they had had enough of the constant pushing, girls passing out and sweating (Matt entered in another door so we were not with each other to begin with), by this time I was about three rows from the front. There show was awesome and as girls and guys started dropping like fly's and getting lifted out of the mosh pit I got closer and closer to the front. After they where finished it was the wait until the outstanding Paramore was on. I made friends with many people around me and slowly pushed my way forward to the bar.

It went black and all of a sudden a curtain dropped and there she was, Hayley Williams. I managed to push my way to the front by this point and was on the bar and man oh man was she amazing! Her voice is so crisp, it is in fact like they say - music for the taste buds. It got to the point where I made it to the centre point of the stage where she comes out to sing and it happened - I TOUCHED HER HAND AND SHE SIMILED AT ME ! oh god did I start crying hahah, her voice makes you want to cry anyway because it is that beautiful and harmonic that it makes you eyes start watering up. About 5 songs in and it got to the point in the mosh that I was getting pushed back and I was kinda getting trampled on by the people around me so I go lifted out and joined Ashley and Febe at the back where we danced like maniacs! If you have never experienced a mosh in your life its tough and hot and sweaty and once I got to the back and touched my pants you could ring them out and same goes with my top, it was horrid! Singing song after breath taking song and talking to us like her family it was sadly over and I teared at the fact that it was. It was such an amazing night and im so happy and blessed that I got to experiance it ! Best concert I have ever been to by far - amazing. So if you ever get the chance to see any of them live - jump at it because its something you will never forget, ever ! I put together a little video of the footage I got while I was at the front of the mosh - Just remeber its not the best as i was jumping around and getting pushed ! Hope you enjoy, post again soon.

Take care,

Sugar your Mind

Top: All about eve // Skirt: Homemade // Lace Bike Pants: Ebay // Boots: Thomas Cook // Bag: Prada
Today I went into the city with my partner in crime (Brodie, my Boyfriend) and this was my outfit! I think that having a tartan/plaid or any kind of check skirt is a must have in your wardrobe. They are really versatile and easy to style for any occasion that may occur. Ether it is going out for dinner or running about doing jobs. I got my skirt from the lovely Samantha Middleton who made it for me (Thanks Sam !) but you can get them from anywhere, Op shops, higher end stores or even make then yourself. Underneath I'm wearing my lace bike pants which gives it an edger feel. I paired the two with a simple black crop and my Thomas Cook cowboy boots. What's your Staple piece of clothing? Post again soon,

Take care,

Style Crush: Sky Ferreira

Singer, songwriter, model and actress Sky Ferreira has got it all from her grunge and inky style to her outstanding voice. The American twenty one year old started out at age thirteen when she started taking opera lessons to refine her singing voice and spent a few years uploading Myspace videos of her singing to try and get the attention of a record company, which she achieved shortly before her fifteenth birthday. If you haven't heard any of her music yet I suggest you click here & here while you are reading the rest of this! Her style of music is a mixture of dance pop, indie rock and synthpop which is catchy and songs you can rock out to. Her voice is one of thoughs voices that you head and go "Ahhhhh I wish I could sing like you!" You have to listen to understand were I'm coming from.

Her style is a mixed between Grunge, simplicity and she is always wearing a rockin' pair of boots.
"I'm a boots girl. I always wear boots. They only look better when they get dirty" - Sky Ferreira
Either all black or wearing a statement piece in their she always looks stunning. Her hair is perfection whether its short, long, wavy or straight, coloured or bleached it always looks flawless. Her strong mindedness and way of looking at life is also a major thumbs up ! and makes you love her even more. Whos your girl crush right now? Post again soon.

Take care,

Dreaming is Free

Hat : Dissh // Top : RVCA // Skirt : Handmade // Socks : Topshop // Shoes : Doc Martins
Hi all ! Happy New Years !! Hope everyone's night was awesome and safe and I'm hoping (fingers cross) everyone is well this fine morning. It's 2014 already?! What? Madness. I have some big plans for this blog and myself for this year, more outfit posts and adventures, more love and laughter and it will be my last year of high school! I'm all for making "that change" when ever regardless of the new year but this year I feel fresh, renewed kind of; so here we are. On another complete random note I'm obessed with fake grass. I just love it! And going to put some in my room.

Anyway this was my New Years outfit - I needed something cool and functional; so my docs where perfect. I paired them with my sparkly socks and a baggy band cut tee! As I'm at the whitsundays the air was so gluggy and hot so this was just the outfit. Hope no one is feeling to ruff this beautiful morning ;) Credit to my amazing boyfriend for taking these photos! What are your New Year resolution/s?  Post soon,

Take care -
